EU to Allocate Over 30 Billion Euros in Financial Aid to Ukraine in 2025

The European Union has confirmed its readiness to continue economic and financial support for Ukraine, with a total amount exceeding 30 billion euros in 2025. This decision is reflected in the concluding remarks of the European Council meeting regarding Ukraine.

Structure of Financial Support

In 2025, Ukraine will receive 30.6 billion euros from the EU. Of this amount, 3.5 billion euros have already been transferred through the Ukrainian Fund. An additional 7 billion euros will come from the G7 ERA initiative, funded by extraordinary revenues from frozen Russian assets. These measures aim to ensure regular and predictable financial support for Ukraine over an extended period.

“The European Union will continue to provide Ukraine with regular and predictable financial assistance for a long time. In 2025, the European Union will provide Ukraine with 30.6 billion euros, of which 3.5 billion euros have already been paid through the Ukrainian Fund, and another 7 billion euros will be provided under the G7 ERA initiative, funded by extraordinary revenues from blocked Russian assets,” the document states.

Position of Ukraine’s Leadership

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of financial support to cover the state budget deficit during his speech at the European Union summit on June 26. He also highlighted that Ukraine is fulfilling all its commitments regarding EU membership, demonstrating its commitment to reforms and European standards.
