Changes in the Leadership of the Ministry of Defense

As part of the team update in the Ministry of Defense, Serhiy Boyev, Valeriy Churkin, and Kateryna Chernogorenko were dismissed from their positions as deputy ministers. At the same time, Serhiy Boyev, who previously held the position of first deputy, was transferred to the position of deputy head of the ministry.

The leadership of the Ministry of Defense now includes the first deputy minister Ivan Havryliuk, as well as new deputies: Hanna Hvozdiyar, Volodymyr Zaverukha, Yuriy Myronenko, and Oksana Ferchuk. Oksana Ferchuk will be responsible for digital development, transformations, and digitalization. Volodymyr Zaverukha and Hanna Hvozdiyar previously served as deputy ministers in the field of strategic industries, which has been merged with the Ministry of Defense.

Personnel Decisions in Other Ministries

Additionally, the government made decisions to dismiss several deputies in the Ministry of Strategic Industries: Liudmyla Shemelinets left her position and became the first deputy minister of social policy, family, and unity, while Viktoriya Kyreieva was also dismissed. Changes also occurred in the Ministry of Environmental Protection, where Oleksandr Semenets and Serhiy Vlasenko left their positions.

Among the new appointments, Inna Solodka became the deputy minister of social policy, family, and unity, while Daria Marchak, who previously held the position of deputy minister of social policy, was appointed as the deputy minister of economy, environment, and agriculture.

“It has been decided to consider Komirnyy Anatoliy Vitaliyovych as continuing to work in the position of deputy minister of social policy, family, and unity on issues of digital development, digital transformations, and digitalization,” adds the government representative.

It is worth noting that on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada supported the changes proposed by the president. In particular, the parliament approved Yuliia Svyrydenko as the Prime Minister of Ukraine, while her predecessor Denys Shmyhal became the head of the Ministry of Defense.
