Cabinet dismisses heads of Sumy and Luhansk regional military administrations and appoints new leaders

The Ukrainian government has made the decision to dismiss the heads of the Sumy and Luhansk regional military administrations. This was announced by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in parliament, Taras Melnychuk.

This is reported by Київ24

According to the information received, the Cabinet approved the dismissals:

  • Artem Lysyhor from the position of head of the Luhansk regional state administration,
  • Volodymyr Artyukh from the position of head of the Sumy regional state administration.

The government also agreed to appoint new leaders for the regions:

  • Oleksii Kharchenko as head of the Luhansk regional military administration,
  • Oleh Hryhorov as head of the Sumy regional military administration.

Additionally, Ruslan Oliinyk was appointed as deputy head of the Kyiv regional state administration.

This decision has become relevant in light of recent events in Sumy, particularly following the Russian missile attacks on the city on April 13. During these attacks, 35 people were killed, including two children, and 120 individuals sought medical assistance, among them 105 adults and 15 children.

“There was no initiative from me. I was invited,” said Volodymyr Artyukh, commenting on statements regarding his role in organizing an event for the 117th territorial defense brigade.

It is worth recalling that prior to these events, MP Mariyana Bezuhla reported a possible leak of information regarding the awarding of military personnel in Sumy, which caused public outcry.
