The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted a draft order to President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the dismissal of Serhiy Haidai from the position of head of the Mukachevo District State Administration. This was announced by the head of the government, Yulia Svyrydenko, in an evening address on August 2.

Haidai Involved in Corruption Case Related to Drone Purchases
Although no official reasons for the submission have been disclosed, according to information circulated in the media, Serhiy Haidai’s name is mentioned in an investigation by NABU and SAP regarding large-scale corruption during the procurement of unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems for defense needs. According to investigators, state contracts were signed with supplier companies at inflated prices, and up to 30% of the contract amount was returned to the participants of the criminal scheme as illegal benefits.

As part of this case, four individuals have already been detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Among those involved are a current member of parliament, heads of district and city military administrations, as well as servicemen of the National Guard.
Reactions from Politicians and Haidai’s Status
Serhiy Haidai has not yet commented on the information regarding his possible dismissal and his involvement in corruption cases. Meanwhile, the head of the Servant of the People faction, Davyd Arakhamia, announced the suspension of membership in the faction for MP Oleksiy Kuznetsov during the investigation conducted by NABU and SAP.
Serhiy Haidai has held the position of head of the Mukachevo District State Administration since March 2024. Prior to this, from October 2019 to March 2023, he headed the Luhansk Regional State Administration.
