The court has chosen a preventive measure for Ruslan Svitlyi, who previously held the position of Director of the Department of Social and Veteran Policy of the Kyiv City Administration. The former official is suspected of misappropriating funds that were supposed to be used for medical assistance to seriously ill patients.

At the request of the investigators, Svitlyi has been taken into custody until September 20, 2025. However, he has been given the opportunity to be released from custody by paying bail in the amount of 30 million hryvnias.
