Court Rulings Pave the Way for the Transfer of Rare Exhibits to Museums
This is reported by Kyiv24
The Kyiv Customs has transferred valuable historical artifacts to museum institutions in Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions. The transferred items included unique icons, pendants, a fragment of a triptych, as well as porcelain items dating from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

Seizure and Transfer of Rare Artifacts
According to the customs service, these cultural treasures were discovered and seized during inspections of international postal shipments due to the lack of necessary permits for their export from Ukraine. After the completion of judicial procedures that confirmed the transfer of the rarities to state ownership, the artifacts were added to the museum collections.

Unique Exhibits for Museum Collections
Among the valuable acquisitions, museums received the icon “Christ the Almighty” with a metal embossed cover from the 19th century, three porcelain sculptures produced by the Gardner factory (late 19th – early 20th centuries), a fragment of the triptych “Holidays” from the 19th century, and eight pendants dating from the 17th to the 20th century.
“As noted by customs officials, these items were seized from international postal shipments due to the absence of permit documents for their export from Ukraine, and after the relevant court rulings, the cultural treasures passed into state ownership and received new life in museum collections.”
