Чехія виділятиме близько 40 млн євро на підтримку України щорічно з 2026 по 2030 рік – МЗС

The Czech government has decided to extend the comprehensive support program for Ukraine for another five years — from 2026 to 2030. As reported by the press service of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 1 billion Czech crowns, exceeding 40 million euros, will be allocated annually to assist Ukraine. These funds will be distributed among various government structures to implement humanitarian, stabilization, and economic initiatives.

Within the framework of the program, the Czech Republic will continue to support Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, provide emergency housing, essential medical supplies, and facilitate access to education, energy resources, and heating sources. The importance of participation in the demining of agricultural lands, enhancing cybersecurity, constructing underground medical and educational facilities, and implementing democratic reforms in Ukraine has been specifically emphasized.

The Importance of Support for the Czech Republic

“Supporting Ukraine is crucial for the Czech Republic. It helps Ukraine itself, but it also strengthens our own security. It is important for the Czech Republic to assist Ukraine not only militarily but also with humanitarian aid and reconstruction. This is in our interest. We want Czech companies to be involved in the reconstruction and to have a long-term presence there,” said Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský regarding the initiative.

The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that support for Ukraine is a “fundamental priority” for the country’s government. Following the implementation of the program in 2023–2025, various sectors of the Czech economy — public, private, non-profit, and academic — have already received significant opportunities for long-term participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The continuation of this initiative is considered an important step for further development of bilateral cooperation in Prague.

Additionally, in August, Czech President Petr Pavel expressed the country’s readiness to participate in peacekeeping missions on Ukrainian territory, emphasizing that the Czech Republic has been an active participant in the peace process and has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
