During the night, Russian occupiers once again attempted an airstrike on the territory of Kyiv using kamikaze drones. One of the downed UAVs fell in the Desnyansky district of the city; however, fortunately, it did not cause serious consequences.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, «as a result of the debris from the downed drone falling in the Desnyansky district near the city limits, a fire was recorded. Firefighters were on site. The firefighting operations have been completed. The fire has been extinguished,» the agency stated.
Drone Attacks and Their Destruction
The Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of April 5, 2025, the enemy launched an attack on Ukraine using 92 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones, which were launched from four directions.
As of 9:00 AM, the downing of 51 Shahed-type strike UAVs in the north, south, east, and center of the country has been confirmed. The loss of 31 enemy imitation drones has also been recorded without negative consequences.
Consequences of the Attack
As a result of the Russian attack, the Sumy region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kyiv region, and Zhytomyr region were affected. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
