In the capital of Ukraine, law enforcement officers detained a 28-year-old man suspected of illegal storage and distribution of narcotic substances valued at approximately one million hryvnias. The man was distributing drugs through a closed Telegram channel, posting advertisements for potential clients, and sending orders by mail.

Searches and Drug Seizures
During investigative actions in his apartment, a significant amount of illegal substances was found: 3.5 kg of mephedrone, 1.3 kg of alpha-PVP salt, 250 g of MDMA powder, 250 g of amphetamine, 290 MDMA pills, as well as electronic scales and tools for packaging and using drugs. According to law enforcement estimates, the value of the seized drugs is approximately “one million hryvnias”.

Legal Qualification and Possible Consequences
According to the prosecutor’s office, the detainee has been informed of the suspicion under Article 307, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for the supply, storage, and sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances in large quantities. The sanction for this article provides for imprisonment for up to ten years with confiscation of property.
