Statement from the American Diplomatic Mission After the Shelling of Kyiv
On the morning of June 18, the official account of the US Embassy in Ukraine on the social media platform X published a statement dedicated to the massive rocket attack on the capital. It is worth noting that as a result of the attack, 21 people lost their lives, including a US citizen, and the number of injured exceeded 134, including children.
“Today, along with all of Ukraine, we join in a day of mourning in Kyiv for the victims of the Russian attack on June 17. 21 deceased, including a US citizen. Over 134 injured, including children. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. This senseless attack contradicts President Trump’s call to stop the killings and end the war.”
