In Holosiivskyi National Nature Park, a large-scale problem of illegal dumping has emerged, causing harm to the environment and disrupting the ecological balance. This has occurred in the bed of the Lyubka River, where unknown individuals have created a large dump, destroying the natural beauty and violating conservation rules.

Survey and Identification of the Scale of Pollution
Following a report from a local resident who informed about the accumulation of waste in the riverbed under the power line, inspectors from the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital Region conducted a thorough examination of the area. They found that this site contained non-hazardous waste, which, however, poses a significant ecological risk.
“During the inspection, the inspectors discovered waste that is not hazardous, namely: household waste (mixed, including paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, wood, textiles, metal, packaging, and biodegradable waste similar to household waste), construction and demolition waste, and used tires, the owner of which has not been identified”
— reported the State Environmental Inspection.
Scale of Pollution and Cleanup Measures
The total area polluted by waste has reached approximately 1500 square meters, with the height of the accumulated garbage reaching 1.5 meters. Inspectors have contacted the relevant authorities — Kyiv City Administration, Sviatoshyn District Administration, and KP «Pleso» — demanding the elimination of the illegal dump and restoration of the area to proper condition by May 30. Addressing this ecological violation is a crucial component of preserving natural resources and preventing further environmental pollution.
