An Exhibition Opens in Kyiv for the 315th Anniversary of Pylyp Orlyk’s Constitution

A large-scale exhibition project dedicated to the outstanding historical figure Pylyp Orlyk will open in the capital. Starting June 24, the exhibition “Pylyp Orlyk. The Path of the Hetman” will commence at the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine, marking the 315th anniversary of Pylyp Orlyk’s Constitution.

Unique Exhibits and Historical Context

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to explore unique old prints, rare books, ancient maps, engravings, paintings, tiles, and weapons. A significant portion of the exhibits is provided from the collections of the National Preserve “Hetman Capital” and the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine. A separate section of the exhibition features copies of important documents from the archives of Ukraine, Sweden, Poland, and France, illustrating Pylyp Orlyk’s extensive international activities.

“This is the first exhibition that reveals the long-term foreign policy activities of the Hetman on the European stage in pursuit of the freedom of the ‘Cossack nation’ and the creation of an anti-Russian coalition. The foundation of the exhibition consists of original exhibits: old prints, books, maps, engravings, paintings, tiles, and weapons from the collections of the National Preserve ‘Hetman Capital’ and the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine,” the museum representatives stated.

Duration of the Exhibition and Venue
