On August 14 at 16:00, a large-scale exhibition titled ‘Skies of the Lark’ by the People’s Artist of Ukraine and laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize, Valeriy Franchuk, opened at the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine.

Anniversary Exhibition at the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine
This exhibition is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the renowned artist’s birth. The exhibition features picturesque landscapes, still lifes with flowers, and architectural compositions that reflect the beauty and spiritual strength of the Ukrainian land. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the diversity of Valeriy Franchuk’s work, which celebrates his native land and its history.

A Vast Creative Legacy and Global Recognition
Valeriy Franchuk is the author of over 8,500 paintings, 3,000 graphic works, and nearly 120 sculptures. In his works, the artist addresses important themes – the history of Ukraine, spirituality, biblical narratives, as well as the tragedies of the Holodomor and Chernobyl. His works are housed in more than 75 museums and cultural centers around the world, as well as in numerous private collections.
The exhibition ‘Skies of the Lark’ will run until September 19 in Kyiv at: Lavrska Street, 9, Building 9 (territory of the National Reserve ‘Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra’).
