Sanctioned businessman Konstantin Grigoryshyn, who is wanted in Ukraine in a case regarding the possible embezzlement of funds from “Sumyoblenergo”, owns two luxurious chalets in the French Courchevel and is conducting renovations on a villa near Lake Geneva in Switzerland, which is listed as his place of registration.

Property in France and Cressida Company

According to an investigation by journalists, Grigoryshyn has been the beneficiary of the Luxembourg company Cressida since at least 2019. This company has owned three plots of land at the prestigious ski resort of Courchevel since 2008. In 2010, two elite chalets with a total area of over 850 square meters were built on these plots. According to the Luxembourg registry, the total value of this property is approximately 70 million euros.

Grigoryshyn’s connection to the Cressida company can be traced from 2008 to 2014, when the manager of the firm was Cypriot citizen Maria Agini, whom the analytical platform YouControl identifies as the businessman’s trusted person. Through her and a network of foreign companies, Grigoryshyn still controls shares in Ukrainian regional energy companies.

Villa in Switzerland and investigation in Ukraine

In November 2025, Konstantin Grigoryshyn, as the beneficiary of Cressida, indicated a new address for a property near Lake Geneva with an area of 415 square meters, which officially belongs to a 74-year-old Swiss citizen. At the same time, it was Grigoryshyn who initiated a large-scale renovation of this property, acting as the official applicant for the redevelopment in the Official Bulletin of the Canton of Geneva.

The renovation of the villa is taking place against the backdrop of an investigation by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies regarding the businessman. This spring, the SBU and the Bureau of Economic Security reported the exposure of a scheme for embezzling funds in energy companies controlled by one of the sanctioned businessmen. According to sources, this specifically concerns Grigoryshyn and the company “Sumyoblenergo”, the operator of the electricity distribution system in the Sumy region, of which he is a beneficiary through a complex network of companies, while 25% of the shares belong to the state.

The investigation claims that the top management of the company created a fictitious position of “advisor” for Grigoryshyn with part-time employment and a salary of 1.5 million hryvnias per month. According to law enforcement, from 2020 to 2024, 68 million hryvnias were embezzled in this manner. In March of this year, the businessman and three officials were charged with embezzling funds on a particularly large scale, and at the end of April, they were put on the wanted list. He has not provided any public comments on this matter.

Grigoryshyn himself described this in an interview with Forbes as “extrajudicial retribution, without the right to defense”.

In January 2025, sanctions were imposed against the businessman by the National Security and Defense Council, which he is contesting in court. Additionally, according to the Bureau of Economic Security, besides his Ukrainian citizenship, Grigoryshyn holds citizenship of the Russian Federation, as confirmed by Russian registries. However, in a January interview with Forbes, the businessman stated that he had submitted an application to renounce his Russian citizenship, but it was not granted.

The editorial team is awaiting full responses from Grigoryshyn regarding the sources of funding for the property renovations, as well as concerning the accusations and his being placed on the wanted list in Ukraine.
