Member of Parliament from «European Solidarity» Oleksiy Honcharenko stated that he intends to vote against the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine at the upcoming vote. He explained his position on Telegram, noting that there is still no draft law regulating demobilization, service terms, and other important issues. According to Honcharenko, «the TCC is still «continuing the busification», and no one wants to talk about adequate recruitment».

This statement was responded to by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, who noted that «the final results of Putin’s casting in the Rada will be visible tomorrow – among those who vote against the extension of martial law».
Draft Law on the Extension of Martial Law
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada on April 15, which provides for the extension of martial law and general mobilization for 90 days. This means that the duration of martial law and mobilization in the country will last until August 6, 2025.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, martial law has been introduced in Ukraine and general mobilization has been conducted. Since then, the Verkhovna Rada has made decisions every three months to extend it, which is a necessary measure to ensure the defense and security of the country.
