Attempt of Illegal Land Alienation

According to law enforcement, a local cooperative unlawfully established a parking lot on communal land and attempted to challenge the city’s ownership rights to this plot in court. The land has been in communal ownership since 2015.

“In the Desnyanskyi district, one of the cooperatives unlawfully set up a parking lot on a communal land plot and tried to annul the registration of ownership rights to this land by the capital community in court. This concerns a plot of over 3 hectares valued at more than 118 million hryvnias. It has been in communal ownership since 2015.”

Court Ruling and Further Actions

The Economic Court of Kyiv, having considered the prosecutors’ lawsuit, denied the cooperative’s claims. Thus, it was possible to prevent the illegal removal of the land plot from the city’s ownership.

Additionally, the prosecutor’s office initiated another court process, demanding the removal of the parking lot that the cooperative established without the necessary permits. Currently, the case regarding the restoration of the land to its proper state is under consideration in court.
