The police in Kyiv have detained a man who organized an illegal scheme for conscripted individuals seeking to avoid mobilization and leave the country.

Scheme for Obtaining Disability Status to Delay Mobilization
According to the investigation, the perpetrator operated exclusively through personal recommendations from acquaintances and offered his “clients” assistance in obtaining disability status. This allowed them to receive an official deferment from mobilization and legally cross the state border. For his services, he demanded significant sums—specifically, he promised to assist a 34-year-old resident of the capital in extending his disability status for $15,000.
Under the devised scheme, the “client” was required to sign a declaration with a nearby doctor, who would then refer him for a medical and social examination. After passing the examination, the man was expected to receive a positive conclusion regarding the extension of his disability status, which would open the possibility for a legal deferment from mobilization and legal exit from the country.

Exposure and Detention of the Perpetrator
The organizer assured his clients of strong connections in medical institutions and territorial recruitment centers, guaranteeing quick results. He was detained immediately after handing over the agreed sum—$15,000.
“During the conversation, he assured that he had good connections in the medical field and the recruitment centers, thus guaranteeing a hundred percent and quick result.”

It is worth noting that there have been previous instances in Kyiv where men paid $10,000 for fake documents to leave the country. However, the cost of such services has now increased.
