Andrii Sybiga’s Response and Appeal to International Partners

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need for an immediate and strong response from the global community regarding this crime. Sybiga called on European countries, the United States, G20 members, and all who share the values of humanity and the UN Charter to unite against the aggressor.

“This horrific crime demands global condemnation and decisive action. We urge the world to speak out and act immediately. We appeal to our European partners, the United States, G20 members, and all who value human life and the UN Charter to take action,” he stated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already informed foreign partners and international organizations about the tragic events in Yarova and is awaiting a “powerful response.” The minister emphasized the necessity of holding accountable all individuals involved in committing war crimes by the Russian Federation.

Scale of Russian Attacks and Ukraine’s Position

Sybiga debunked Russian propaganda that claims to be “saving” people in Donetsk region, noting that Russia is actually using massive aerial bombs against the civilian population. Among the victims are civilians who came to collect their pensions. The minister stressed that Russia brings only “death, horror, and destruction.”

The official Kyiv is confident that consolidated actions by the international community, including increased sanctions pressure, as well as additional military and humanitarian support, can stop Russian terror against the population of Ukraine.

Russian troops regularly use various types of weaponry, including strike drones, missiles, guided aerial bombs, and multiple launch rocket systems, to attack Ukrainian regions. Despite this, the Russian leadership denies targeting civilian infrastructure, despite numerous evidence of the destruction of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities, as well as the deaths of peaceful residents.

The Ukrainian authorities, along with international organizations, classify such actions as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize their deliberate nature.
