According to Zelensky, if the production of the missile in North Korea is confirmed, it will be yet another testament to the collaboration between Russia and Pyongyang, which Ukraine considers criminal. The President noted that North Korea has gained the capability to make its weapons even more lethal in real combat conditions, undermining international security.
Shelling and Consequences for Ukrainian Cities
On the night of April 24, Russian forces launched a large-scale combined strike on the territory of Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 215 aerial targets were involved during the massive attack, including 70 missiles of various types. The main focus of the attack was Kyiv, with the regions of Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia also being hit.
Rescue workers report that as a result of the strike in the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv, 12 people were killed, and another 90 were injured. Debris is being cleared at 13 locations, over 25 residential buildings have been damaged, as well as social infrastructure facilities, including a kindergarten and a school – the first and second floors of the buildings have been completely destroyed.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inform that 70 missile strikes were carried out overnight, all of which were launched from operational missile systems. The primary target was Kyiv, where fighting occurred throughout the city. Intelligence and national defense continue to work to prevent new attacks and mitigate their consequences.
