Support for Ukraine’s Energy Security

In addition to military aid, Ireland will allocate another 25 million euros for supplying energy resources to Ukraine. This step is intended to help the country withstand targeted attacks from Russia on its energy infrastructure.

“An additional 100 million euros in non-lethal military support will be provided to help Ukraine counter the nightly attacks from Russian missiles and drones. Ireland will also provide 25 million euros for energy supplies to Ukraine to help resist the cynical and heartless attacks from Russia,” said Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the country.

New Partnership Between Ukraine and Ireland

As part of President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska’s visit to Dublin, the signing of a Roadmap for Partnership between Ukraine and Ireland for the period up to 2030 is planned. This initiative is based on an agreement reached in Kyiv on September 4, 2024, which outlines the main areas of cooperation and support.

This is the first official visit by Volodymyr Zelensky and Olena Zelenska to Ireland, highlighting the importance of developing bilateral relations between the countries amid the ongoing armed aggression by Russia against Ukraine.
