EU and Italian Leaders to Join URC2025

Among the conference participants are Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. They will be joined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and a delegation of high-ranking officials. This underscores the significance of the event for international support for Ukraine during the ongoing full-scale war initiated by the Russian Federation.

“I have arrived in Rome – a city where, over the next three days, the world will focus not on destruction, but on the reconstruction of Ukraine. At the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, key leaders, including Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, President Volodymyr Zelensky, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, will gather alongside a number of other global partners to ensure real commitments to the recovery of Ukraine,” wrote Maternova on Facebook.

Priorities and the Ukrainian Delegation

The main topics of the event will include energy, infrastructure modernization, strengthening the healthcare system, education, support for veterans, and implementing reforms necessary for Ukraine’s integration into the European Union. Representatives from business, international investors, and non-governmental organizations will also participate in the conference, as the recovery of Ukraine requires both public and private leadership.

The Ukrainian delegation will be led by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko. The delegation includes 11 high-ranking officials representing key areas of reform and reconstruction in the country.

URC2025 continues a series of high-level international political events aimed at the rapid recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine, which have become particularly relevant following the onset of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
