The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klychko, announced his proposal to appoint Zoya Yarosha, a deputy from the “Holos” party, as the new secretary of the Kyiv City Council.

Klychko expressed this initiative during a plenary session of the Kyiv City Council on June 10. After consultations, his nomination regarding Yarosha’s appointment is planned to be put to a vote by the deputies.
Zoya Yarosha’s Career and Position in the Kyiv City Council
Zoya Yarosha is a practicing lawyer and is a member of the budget committee as well as the committee on architecture, urban planning, and land relations of the city council. In 2023, she worked in a temporary commission that investigated the causes of flooding between the Kyiv metro stations “Demiivska” and “Lybidska.”
In April 2025, according to information from the public movement CHESNO, Yarosha was among those Kyiv City Council deputies who most frequently supported the so-called “toilet schemes” – decisions regarding the corrupt allocation of land plots.
