Mykola Povoroznyk has been suspended from his position as the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration until the completion of a service investigation.

The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, signed a decision by the Kyiv City Council expressing no confidence and suspending the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Mykola Povoroznyk, due to his participation in a scandalous party that took place on the Day of Mourning for those who died following the Russian attack on April 25.
Suspension and Service Investigation
According to Vitaliy Klychko, the mechanism for appointing and dismissing the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration is clearly regulated by Ukrainian legislation, and there will be no violation of the procedure. The mayor emphasized that the decision to conduct a service investigation was made to objectively clarify all circumstances of the incident.
“I signed the decision of the deputies regarding the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Mykola Povoroznyk. However, I want to emphasize that we must all act according to the law. The mechanism for appointing and dismissing the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration is clearly regulated by Ukrainian law. And no matter how someone tries to persuade me to violate it, I will not do so,” wrote the head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Vitaliy Klychko also emphasized that he will not cover for officials, and the investigation must be conducted as transparently as possible. The process will involve Kyiv City Council deputies who initiated the consideration of this issue.
The First Deputy of the Kyiv City State Administration is Suspended During the Investigation
The initial draft decision regarding the scandalous party at Kyiv Sea mentioned the names of ten officials from the Kyiv City State Administration, including deputies Petro Panteleyev, Valentyn Mondryivskyi, Vyacheslav Nepop, and Maryna Khonda. However, in the final version of the decision, their names were crossed out, and only Mykola Povoroznyk was suspended.
During the service investigation, the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration will not perform his duties until a final decision is made based on the results.
