The festival will open with a screening of the film by Vilen Novak, “Wild Love,” which, according to a press release provided by “Suspilne Culture,” will be the first screening.

“Maxim, a boy from a ‘well-off’ and successful family, loves Masha. Masha, a girl from an orphanage, loves Maxim. This story could have ended with a traditional marriage, but an American woman, Susan, arrives in Kyiv… The love triangle turns into a dramatic conflict.”

Throughout the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to watch a variety of films that highlight the changing urban image across different historical periods—from the Middle Ages to the revolutionary 1920s, as well as from the tumultuous 1990s to the modern Revolution of Dignity. This will allow viewers to see how the portrait of Kyiv has changed on the screens of films, providing a deeper understanding of urban identity.
