In the Dnipro District of Kyiv, police detained a 22-year-old local resident who, while intoxicated, attacked a passerby. The young man approached a group and asked a man for a cigarette, but was refused. After that, he began to behave aggressively, used foul language, and, pulling out a knife, cut the cheek of a 42-year-old Kyiv resident.

“Hearing the refusal, the young man began to express himself aggressively and curse. Then he pulled out a knife and cut the cheek of the 42-year-old man. After that, the assailant tried to flee but fell and broke his leg.”

Actions of Law Enforcement and Consequences

After the attack, the criminal attempted to escape from the scene, but during his flight, he fell and sustained a leg fracture. Law enforcement officers and an investigative team arrived at the scene, documenting all the circumstances of the crime. Medics hospitalized both the victim and the attacker.

At this time, the young man has been charged with hooliganism. Following his treatment, he faces imprisonment according to the court’s decision.
