Кияни вимагають відновити простір біля станції метро «Лісова»

Access Issues to Transport Due to the Fence

For the past six years, residents of the Lisovyi district and passengers of the capital’s metro have had to detour around the fenced-off area near the ‘Lisova’ metro station. This fence creates significant inconveniences for those heading to the subway or to ground transport stops.

“Capital residents are calling on the city authorities to restore the surrounding area near the ‘Lisova’ metro station, which has been fenced off for several years and creates inconveniences for passengers heading to the subway trains and ground transport stops.”

The large area located between Kuban Ukraine and Kyoto streets has been overgrown with shrubs for a long time. The petition authors note that construction work was supposed to be completed several years ago, but it has not even begun. As a result, people are forced to take long detours every day to reach the metro station.

Proposals from Kyiv Residents and Petition to the Kyiv City Council

Citizens have registered a corresponding electronic petition on the Kyiv City Council’s website, proposing that the city authorities reconsider the decision to allocate this land plot to a developer who has not fulfilled their obligations. Kyiv residents insist on returning the area to the community to restore convenient access to the ‘Lisova’ metro station and to establish proper turnaround and parking areas for public transport, as it was before.

The signatories of the document emphasize that the current situation not only complicates the movement of residents but also negatively affects the organization of public transport, which lacks proper working conditions.
