Residents of Kyiv are urging the authorities to transform the Rybalsky Peninsula into a space for recreation and leisure.

Petition for the Renewal of the Rybalsky Peninsula
Kyiv residents have proposed to free the Rybalsky Peninsula from industrial enterprises and establish a modern recreational zone in its place. The corresponding electronic petition has already appeared on the official website of the Kyiv City Council.
The authors of the initiative are convinced that, with the political will of the city authorities, this area could become a true oasis of relaxation for residents and guests of the capital.
“If the city authorities desire, the Rybalsky Peninsula and Kyiv Harbor can be transformed into a real oasis, featuring a modern waterfront with parks, squares, and cozy alleys, children’s and sports playgrounds, attractions, family recreation areas, as well as exhibition spaces for yachts, ships, and watercraft.”
Proposals for the Development of the Area
Signatories of the petition insist on the necessity to initiate the process of relocating industrial enterprises from the Rybalsky Peninsula. They call for attracting investors to create a new recreational space in Podil. According to them, transforming this part of the city will allow for the establishment of a modern waterfront with parks, squares, alleys, children’s and sports playgrounds, attractions, family recreation areas, and exhibition spaces for watercraft.
