Kyiv residents have appealed to the Kyiv City State Administration to consider the possibility of extending the red line of the capital’s metro from the “Akademmistetko” station to Mriyi Street, with the construction of two intermediate stations.
Details of the Proposal and Planning of New Stations
The relevant electronic petition is already available for signing on the official Kyiv City Council portal. The authors propose to build three new stations: “Novobylychi” (a shallow station), as well as “Berkovtsi” and “Mriyi” (deep stations).
The Importance of the Project for the Capital’s Transport System
The initiators emphasize that the implementation of this project is of significant importance for the residents of the Svyatoshyn and Shevchenkivskyi districts, and will also positively impact the transport infrastructure of all of Kyiv. It is expected that the expansion of the metro network will increase the accessibility of public transport and reduce the load on the city’s highways.
“The implementation of this project is extremely important for both the Svyatoshyn and Shevchenkivskyi districts, as well as for the entire transport system of Kyiv. The new project will improve metro accessibility for residents and reduce the load on the city’s roads.”
