Residents of Kyiv are urging the city authorities to implement dual naming of metro station names in English on informational signs at the entrance to each station.
Petition for Improved Navigation for Foreigners
An electronic petition with this proposal has appeared on the official portal of the Kyiv City Council. The authors of the initiative emphasize that despite the war, many foreign guests are coming to the capital, most of whom do not speak Ukrainian. Therefore, to simplify navigation in the capital’s metro, it is proposed to additionally place an English inscription under the state name at each station.
Enhancing Comfort for Guests of Kyiv
The signatories of the document are confident that this initiative will significantly ease movement around the city for foreign tourists and guests of the capital.
