Lukashenko Announces New ‘Proposal’ from Putin for Zelensky Regarding War Resolution

Лукашенко твердить, що у нього є «добра пропозиція» для Зеленського від Путіна

Alexander Lukashenko, after lengthy negotiations with Vladimir Putin, expressed his desire to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss possible ways to end the war. Lukashenko explained that he has a ‘good proposal’ for Zelensky from the Russian leadership, which, according to him, has already been discussed with Putin.

This is reported by Kyiv24

“I would just like to talk to him (Zelensky), I have something to say to him… Volodymyr Oleksandrovych needs to calm down – there is a good proposal on the table. We discussed it with President Putin, I won’t say more – the president will say it himself. A good proposal.”

Lukashenko Calls for Consultations Among Leaders

In Lukashenko’s opinion, it is time to begin consultations among the leaders of the three Slavic states — Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. He emphasized the need to agree on a ceasefire, otherwise it will have negative consequences for all parties involved in the conflict. Lukashenko stressed that Zelensky should agree to ‘favorable terms’ that, according to Lukashenko, were conveyed by Putin to American President Donald Trump during their meeting in Alaska on August 15.

Details of the Proposal and Ukraine’s Position

According to information that has emerged in the media, the proposal from the Russian Federation involves freezing the front line in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, as well as returning part of the occupied territories in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions to Ukraine. At the same time, Kyiv would have to transfer control of the territories in Donbas, which are currently under Ukrainian authority, to Russia. Ukraine has already rejected this proposal, calling it absolutely unacceptable.

Lukashenko also stated that he, along with Putin, listened to a report from the Russian General Staff regarding the army’s advancement, which, according to him, ‘will be hard to stop.’ However, no significant changes in the front line in Ukraine have been recorded in recent months. Ukrainian forces managed to liberate over 150 square kilometers of territory that had previously been under the control of Russian forces in August and September.
