In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a 52-year-old resident of the Obolon district, suspected of murdering her husband. The tragedy occurred in one of the apartments on Yordanska Street.

Details of the Investigation
According to police information, the body of a 61-year-old man with a stab wound was found in his home. During her initial conversation with law enforcement, the deceased’s wife was inconsistent in her explanations regarding the circumstances of the incident. She initially claimed that her husband had inflicted the injury on himself, and later stated that she was holding the knife when he allegedly “fell onto it.”
“The deceased’s wife, a 52-year-old woman, was also present in the apartment. During her conversation with the investigators, she was inconsistent in her statements—first, she insisted that her husband had stabbed himself, and then claimed that she was holding the knife, and he ‘fell onto it,'” the report states.
Charges and Further Actions
Investigators established that a domestic conflict arose between the couple, during which the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband in the chest. The victim died at the scene from the injury.
The suspect has already been notified of her suspicion under part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder). She is currently in custody awaiting trial. According to the legislation, she faces up to fifteen years in prison.
