Last night, Lutsk endured the largest aerial attack since the beginning of the full-scale war, carried out by Russian forces. According to local authorities, the enemy used a significant number of drones and missiles, resulting in substantial damage to the city.

Consequences of the Shelling and Government Response

The Mayor of Lutsk, Ihor Polishchuk, reported that during the massive combined attack using UAVs and missiles, the city’s infrastructure was affected. In particular, there were fires and destruction of garages in one of the garage cooperatives, as well as a fire at one of the enterprises. Further information about the damages is currently being clarified.

“Today was the most massive enemy attack using UAVs and missiles on our city and community. We have fires and damage to garages in one of the garage cooperatives and a fire at one of the enterprises. The extent of other damages is being determined,” wrote Ihor Polishchuk.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties among the civilian population. Ihor Polishchuk reported this, noting that as of this morning, there had been no reports of fatalities.

Scale of the Strike: Nearly 50 Drones and Five Missiles

The Head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, Ivan Rudnytskyi, clarified that Russian forces launched approximately 50 unmanned aerial vehicles and five missiles at Volyn. Special services are conducting checks of the areas for possible additional damages and are working on eliminating the consequences of the shelling.

Lutsk and the Volyn region remain under heightened attention from local authorities and emergency services due to the security situation caused by the new wave of enemy attacks.
