Restoration of Funding and New Phase of Work
For a long time, the issue of repairing inter-block passages has been relevant not only for the residents of Obolon but for the entire capital. Before the onset of the full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation, Kyiv consistently allocated funds to districts for major repairs: the average budget for such work ranged from 30 to 50 million hryvnias per district. During 2020-2021, the surface was updated at 110 addresses in the Obolon district.
However, starting in 2022, funding for this area was suspended. As reported by the head of the Obolon District State Administration, Kyrylo Fesyk, the district actively worked to ensure that funds for repairs would be allocated again in 2025. As a result, the city agreed to allocate resources to continue the work. At the same time, for political reasons, the implementation of this direction was transferred to the Department of Construction and Housing of the Kyiv City State Administration, which, according to local authorities, negatively affected the pace of repairs.
