This hidden provocation triggered large-scale operational and investigative measures involving all response services, leading to the evacuation of participants in the educational process and the engagement of additional forces to verify the information.

Police Identified the False Bomber
According to the communication department of the Kyiv police, it quickly became clear that the call was made by a 41-year-old resident of the capital. “During operational measures, law enforcement officers established that the false call was made by a 41-year-old resident of the capital. The police detained the man under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. During communication with the law enforcement officers, he was unable to adequately explain his actions”, the police reported.
The Offender Faces Up to Eight Years in Prison
Regarding the false report of an impending explosion, investigators informed the detained individual of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the legislation, the sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to eight years. Such provocation poses a serious threat to public safety and requires maximum accountability for false reports of explosions or other emergencies.
