During the night, Russian occupiers carried out a large-scale missile and bombing strike on Zaporizhzhia using unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, and 29 others sustained injuries of varying severity, including a 13-year-old teenager. The injured are being transported to medical facilities in the city.

Details of the Shelling and Destruction

According to the State Emergency Service and local Telegram channels, from 22:05 to 22:20, Russian forces used drones to attack Zaporizhzhia. As a result, residential buildings, an educational institution, and infrastructure facilities were damaged.

At one address, the destruction affected a high-rise residential building, and a fire broke out over an area of 100 square meters. Fire and rescue units conducted search and rescue operations, freeing people from the collapsed buildings. Additionally, emergency services extinguished fires in five garages covering a total area of 72 square meters.

Targets of the Attack and Consequences

According to representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, one of the main targets of the Russian drones was the ZERZ electric locomotive repair plant, which specializes in the repair of passenger electric locomotives. Local police reported that in the morning, Zaporizhzhia and its suburbs were attacked by 11 strike drones of the “Shahed” type.

As of the morning, 12 individuals remain in medical facilities in the city, including the 13-year-old teenager. According to rescuers, the condition of all the injured remains stable, but their lives are at risk due to the injuries sustained.
