Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region have suffered a powerful rocket attack from the Russian Federation, resulting in at least 11 deaths and over 100 injuries.

Details of the Attack and Infrastructure Damage

Russian troops launched ballistic missiles at civilian targets in Dnipro and the surrounding area. According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, nine people were killed in Dnipro itself, and two more fatalities were recorded in Samara. The number of injured continues to rise and has already exceeded one hundred.

“9 people died in Dnipro as a result of the enemy attack. Two more were killed by the Russians in Samara. Thus, the number of victims of terror in the region has risen to 11,” the post states.

Thirty-four educational institutions have been damaged, including a music school, a vocational school, and several extracurricular education centers. According to Dnipro’s mayor, Borys Filatov, destruction has been recorded at eight medical facilities, including a hospital, clinics, and a dental polyclinic. The mayor described this attack as one of the largest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Response of Services and Impact on Transportation

Rescue operations are ongoing at various locations. About 25 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene, and many injured individuals have sought medical attention independently.

During the shelling, train No. 52 on the Odesa — Zaporizhzhia route was also damaged. Rescuers and medical personnel were working at the site, and passengers were promptly evacuated to a shelter. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the passengers or train staff. An additional electric train has been scheduled for the further transportation of passengers to Zaporizhzhia.
