Investigative Actions Will Take Place at the Ukrainian Embassy
According to information received from the Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested the use of the premises of the Ukrainian embassy in Israel for conducting investigative actions. However, the specific case to be examined has not been disclosed to the diplomatic mission.
Yevhen Korniychuk also noted that there is currently no specific date for the arrival of the investigators, as it has already been postponed twice.
The Case of Georgiy Logvynskyi and Allegations of Large-Scale Embezzlement
It is known that the investigative actions will concern the case of former People’s Deputy of Ukraine Georgiy Logvynskyi, who is currently serving as an advisor to the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko on legal matters on a voluntary basis. Vitaliy Klitschko invited Logvynskyi to his team to provide legal consultations.
In July 2023, NABU informed Logvynskyi in absentia of his suspicion of illegally siphoning off 54 million hryvnias from the state budget through the company “Zolotyi Mandaryn Oil.” Along with Logvynskyi, six other individuals have also been implicated in this case.
Georgiy Logvynskyi has long been evading justice. He has been repeatedly summoned to the High Anti-Corruption Court, but the advisor to the mayor on justice has yet to appear there.
Currently, Georgiy Logvynskyi is outside Ukraine and has been avoiding participation in court hearings, failing to respond to summonses from the High Anti-Corruption Court.
