The Dutch government has announced a provision of 300 million euros for the reconstruction and strengthening of Ukraine in 2025 and 2026. This was stated by the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kaspar Veldkamp, on July 10 during the fourth Ukraine Recovery Conference taking place in Rome.

Key Funding Areas

According to Veldkamp, of this amount, 52 million euros will be allocated to support energy infrastructure and ensure water supply. An additional 4 million euros is designated for the construction of a new wing for a children’s hospital in Lviv. Furthermore, the Netherlands supports the activities of national companies and organizations under the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) program, which promotes sustainable recovery in the country.

“Russia is not just trying to bring Ukraine to its knees on the battlefield. For three and a half years, it has been attempting to destroy Ukrainian society and the economy. Today, I announced the allocation of 300 million euros on behalf of the Netherlands for reconstruction and economic recovery in 2025 and 2026.”

International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery

The fourth Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025), which started on July 10 in Rome, brought together world leaders, politicians, and business representatives. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, also participated in the event. The main topics of discussion included ensuring Ukraine’s macroeconomic stability during and after the war, infrastructure development, housing, energy, climate protection, culture, healthcare, gender equality, education, science, technology, and innovation.

Since 2022, the URC has already taken place in Lugano, London, and Berlin, and this year’s meeting in Rome marked another important step for international support for Ukraine’s recovery.
