The International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery URC2025 Kicks Off in Rome

The fourth international conference on Ukraine’s recovery, URC2025, has officially opened in the capital of Italy, Rome, and will last for two days. The event has gathered representatives from the governments of Ukraine’s allied countries, delegates from international organizations, financial institutions, businesses, regions, municipalities, and civil society.

Key Discussion Topics and Participants

Conference participants are focusing on a wide range of issues, including ensuring Ukraine’s macroeconomic stability during the war and in the post-war period, strengthening resilience and security, rebuilding infrastructure, housing, energy development, and climate protection. Special attention is given to culture, healthcare, gender equality, education, environmental issues, science, technology, and innovation.

As part of the event, the plan for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction will be presented by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. Among the key speakers are the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, the Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and other high-ranking officials.

History of URC Conferences

The URC conference has been held since 2022 as a platform for coordinating international assistance and developing strategies for Ukraine’s recovery. Previous meetings took place in Lugano, London, and Berlin.
