Attack on Kyiv: Two Dead, 16 Injured, and Destruction in Five Districts

During the night, Russian forces launched another massive airstrike on Kyiv, using kamikaze drones and missiles.

According to preliminary information, two people were killed and 16 others were injured as a result of the attack. Destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure have been recorded in five districts of the capital.

Damage in Various Districts of Kyiv

As of this morning, ten of the injured have been hospitalized, while others received necessary assistance on-site or on an outpatient basis.

“In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, a fire broke out on the upper floor of a residential building due to falling debris. Additionally, debris has been reported to have fallen at several other addresses, causing flames in certain areas.”

In the Darnytskyi district, debris from a downed drone caused a fire in garages and at a gas station, and debris also fell into the yard of a residential building. In the Solomianskyi district, debris caused fires in residential buildings at two addresses. In the Holosiivskyi district, a cargo truck caught fire due to falling debris.

In the Podilskyi district, the outpatient clinic of the Primary Medical Care Center No. 1 was almost completely destroyed, and debris was also reported to have fallen in the area of non-residential buildings.

Temporary Traffic Restrictions

Due to the aftermath of the airstrike, traffic has been temporarily closed on several streets in the capital:

  • Volnovaska St. (from the intersection with Vaclav Havel Boulevard);
  • Kozheletska St. (from the intersection with Mykola Vasylenko St.);
  • Sichovykh Striltsiv St. (from the intersection with Student St. to the intersection with Mykola Pymonenko St.);
  • Yuri Illienko St. (from the intersection with Dehtiarivska St. to the intersection with Mytrofan Dovnar-Zapolskyi St.);
  • Oleksy Tykhyi St. (from Chuhuivskyi Lane to Hrushetska St.).

The enemy’s attack has once again resulted in human casualties and significant destruction of Kyiv’s civilian infrastructure.
