Olena Kyiyvets officially took the oath of a people’s deputy of Ukraine on April 28 in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada. From now on, she has received all the rights of a parliamentarian and joined the faction of the political party ‘Servant of the People’.

Replacement of a deputy in parliament
According to the statement from the faction’s spokeswoman Yulia Paliychuk, Olena Kyiyvets entered parliament after the early termination of the powers of former deputy Daria Volodina. Kyiyvets held the 161st position on the party’s electoral list in the last parliamentary elections.
Experience and education of Olena Kyiyvets
Olena Kyiyvets has significant experience in the legal and academic fields. She is a Doctor of Law, a graduate of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, has worked as a lecturer, participated in public activities, and has experience working in the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada.

Earlier, on April 23, the Central Election Commission officially registered Kyiyvets as a people’s deputy after receiving the necessary documents. On April 8, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resolution on the early termination of Daria Volodina’s powers in accordance with her personal statement about resigning her mandate.
