A permanent representation of the European Parliament will soon begin operations in the capital of Ukraine. This was announced by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, during her speech in the Verkhovna Rada.

Deepening Cooperation Between Ukraine and the European Parliament
Roberta Metsola emphasized the importance of the European Parliament’s presence in Ukraine for the development of bilateral interaction. She highlighted that the opening of a permanent representation will be another step towards strengthening the partnership between Ukraine and the European Union.
“This week, in order to further enhance our cooperation, we are opening a permanent representation of the European Parliament here in Kyiv, so that we can be present in Ukraine and work with you, by your side every day,” she said.
Support for Ukraine on Its Path to the EU
During her speech in the Verkhovna Rada, Roberta Metsola reaffirmed the full support of the European Parliament for Ukraine’s integration into the European Union. According to her, the European Parliament will continue to support Ukraine’s European aspirations and accompany it on its path to EU membership.
It is known that the President of the European Parliament arrived in Kyiv on the morning of September 17. Her speech was broadcast live, which became possible after the recent resumption of live broadcasts of parliamentary sessions in Ukraine, suspended since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation.
