Autumn Treats for Zoo Residents
This weekend, the pumpkin season continues at Kyiv Zoo: the residents of the hoofed animal section, as well as their neighbors – the South American nandu ostriches – will receive their favorite autumn treats. Visitors will be able to observe the feedings, which are not only a spectacle but also part of the enrichment program for the animals.
The zoo emphasizes that pumpkins are not only a beneficial vitamin and mineral supplement to the animals’ diet but also help develop natural instincts, support health, and enhance the well-being of the residents.
“This program develops the natural abilities and instincts of zoo residents and also contributes to their health and well-being. Come for a good mood and positive emotions!” – invite the zoo staff.
Schedule of Demonstrative Feedings
Demonstrative feedings will take place according to the following schedule:
- Saturday, October 18:
- 12:00 – Red deer
- 12:10 – Ponies
- 12:20 – Scottish cattle
- Sunday, October 19:
- 12:00 – Guanacos and nandu
- 12:10 – Nilgau
- 12:20 – Zebras
Location: the second half of the hoofed animal section, closer to the parking lot.
