A large-scale road infrastructure repair project is starting in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv.

This is reported by Kyiv24

Starting today, repair work has begun on Bratislavska Street, near the Troieshchyna market, which will complicate traffic in this area. The restrictions will be in place until the end of October, so drivers are encouraged to plan their routes in advance.

What Changes to Expect for Drivers

According to the municipal corporation Kyivavtodor, partial traffic restrictions will be implemented in the right lane of Bratislavska Street – on the segment from Roman Shukhevych Avenue to house No. 54 in the direction of Brovarskyi Avenue. This is due to the need for major repairs to the stormwater drainage system.

“From September 10 to October 31, traffic will be partially restricted on Bratislavska Street in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital. The restrictions will apply to the right lane, on the section from Roman Shukhevych Avenue to Bratislavska Street, 54 in the direction of Brovarskyi Avenue,” the statement reads.

Purpose of the Work and Scope of the Update

Road services are beginning major repairs on the stormwater drainage system, which has been in operation here for over half a century and has never been updated. The project involves a complete replacement of the pipelines, installation of new manholes and catch basins, as well as landscaping of the adjacent area. These works aim to improve drainage and enhance traffic safety on this important transport artery.

Drivers are asked to take the restrictions into account when planning their trips and to choose alternative routes whenever possible.
