«щойно тиск ослаб, росіяни почали намагатися зістрибнути з дипломатії»

Ukraine Ready for New Meeting

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the next trilateral meeting could take place as early as next week, but there has been no confirmation of participation from Moscow yet. The President noted that the United States proposed to hold negotiations either in Miami or again in Abu Dhabi. Ukraine has already confirmed its readiness to participate in the dialogue, regardless of the venue.

“Regarding the energy truce: we have not received a response from the Russians. Rather, it should be said that we received a response in the form of drone and missile attacks. Therefore, this indicates that they are not yet ready for the energy truce proposed by the American side in Abu Dhabi,” the President of Ukraine stated.

Negotiations in Abu Dhabi and Prospects for Dialogue

On January 23-24 and February 4-5, negotiations took place in the UAE capital between Ukraine and Russia with the participation of US mediators. The main topic of the meetings was discussing ways to end the war. However, no significant progress was made towards ceasing hostilities. At the same time, during the last meeting, the parties agreed on a prisoner exchange – the first exchange in the last five months.

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff described the negotiations on February 4 and 5 as “constructive and focused on how to create conditions for lasting peace.” The issue of a ceasefire was also a topic of discussion during the dialogue.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted the reduction in unresolved issues between Ukraine and Russia regarding a possible peace agreement, but emphasized that the most difficult questions remain, particularly territorial ones.
