The first official meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and newly elected Polish President Karol Nawrocki has commenced in Poland. During the welcoming ceremony, the Polish leader personally met with representatives of the Ukrainian delegation, and the national anthems of both countries were played.

Negotiations Between Ukraine and Poland
After the ceremonial reception, the presidents will hold a personal conversation. Following that, negotiations are scheduled between the delegations led by Zelensky and Nawrocki, as well as a joint meeting with media representatives. Volodymyr Zelensky is also set to hold talks with the Marshal of the Sejm, the Marshal of the Senate, and the Prime Minister of Poland.
Zelensky’s Foreign Policy Activity
Previously, Volodymyr Zelensky announced a trip to Poland, emphasizing the importance of maintaining relations between the countries. Before this, the President of Ukraine visited Brussels, where he participated in a summit of European Union leaders. Zelensky also traveled to the Netherlands and Germany, where negotiations took place in Berlin between the Ukrainian delegation and U.S. Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of the U.S. President.
Recently, the U.S. has intensified efforts to achieve a peace agreement between Kyiv and Moscow.
Karol Nawrocki, who previously headed the Polish Institute of National Remembrance and is 42 years old, won the presidential election in June. The first phone call between Zelensky and the elected President of Poland took place in July. Subsequently, in August, Zelensky congratulated Nawrocki on taking office and expressed hope for a “constructive dialogue.”
