Last night, Kyiv once again became a target for an aerial attack from the Russian Federation. This is the fourth strike in a week and the second consecutive one in the last two nights. As a result of the shelling, three people were killed, and more than two dozen residents of the city sustained injuries of varying severity.

Damaged Residential Buildings and Victims

In the Desnyanskyi district, a fire broke out in a nine-story residential building due to a drone strike. Additionally, a sixteen-story building was partially destroyed — windows were shattered from the first to the ninth floor. During the night attack, 29 people were injured, seven of whom were children. The youngest victim is only four years old.

Among the deceased are a 19-year-old girl and her 46-year-old mother. Another body has yet to be identified. Seven injured individuals, including two children, are currently in hospitals in Kyiv. Other victims are receiving outpatient medical assistance.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, debris from the Russian drone struck a nine-story building on the second floor. A fire broke out in several apartments, and the flames spread to balconies from the fourth to the seventh floor. The fire was quickly extinguished, and work continues to clear the debris.

Windows and doors of apartments in another nine-story building were also damaged. The facade and ceilings between the sixth and eighth floors were partially destroyed. Rescuers evacuated five residents, and debris clearance is ongoing.

Obolon and Darnytsia Districts: Consequences of the Shelling

In the Obolon district, debris from another drone fell on a sixteen-story building, damaging one apartment. Fortunately, there were no serious destructions or fires.

According to the city prosecutor’s office, among the injured are a 15-year-old boy with multiple burns, a 9-year-old girl with lacerations, and a 13-year-old girl with multiple shrapnel wounds. Four other children are experiencing acute stress reactions due to the shelling.

The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the war crime committed by the Russian military that led to the deaths of people under part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In the Darnytsia district, private residential buildings were damaged, but there were no casualties.

Emergency services are working at the shelling sites, providing residents with all necessary assistance.
