On August 2, the intensity of hostilities on the front decreased somewhat, but Ukrainian forces continue to repel enemy attacks in key areas. The personnel losses of the Russian military over the past day amounted to 920 individuals.

Operational Situation Across Different Frontline Directions
During the last day, 138 combat clashes were recorded. In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 attacks from the Russian Federation. The enemy conducted 15 airstrikes, dropping 24 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 279 artillery shellings, six of which were executed by multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian forces halted 10 enemy attacks near Vovchansk, Kam’yanka, Vovchanski Khutory, and Krasne Pershe. In the Kupiansk direction, five assault actions were recorded in the areas of Kupiansk, Stepova Novoselivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, and Zahryzove.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 19 times near Karpivka, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, as well as in the directions of Cherneshchyna, Seredni, and Shandryholove. In the Kramatorsk direction, one unsuccessful attack was recorded in the area of Novomarkove.
Enemy Losses and Course of Hostilities
In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attempted to advance 11 times in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyn, Yablunivka, Shcherbynivka, as well as in the directions of Ivanopillia and Stepanivka. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 37 enemy attacks near Poltavka, Popovyi Yar, Volodymyrivka, Krasnyi Lyman, Nikanorivka, Kotlyne, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Zviriv, Udachny, Zelenyi Kut, and Novoukrainka.
In the Novopavlivsk sector, the enemy conducted 12 attacks in the areas of Malivka, Voskresenka, Novopillia, Temyrivka, Tolstyi, Myrnyi, Zelenyi Polia, and in the direction of Filia. In the Orikhiv direction, one attempt by the Russians to advance near Kam’yanske was recorded, and another attack was carried out by the enemy in the Dnipro direction near the Antonivskyi Bridge, but they did not achieve success.
In the Siversky and Huliaipilski directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions throughout the day.
The total losses of the Russian occupation forces over the past day amounted to 920 individuals, two armored combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, 178 operational-tactical level drones, one cruise missile, and 135 units of automotive equipment.
