Budapest’s Reaction to Kyiv’s Statements

“President Zelensky is losing his mind due to his anti-Hungarian obsession. He is now seeing things that do not actually exist,” Szijjártó stated on his X page.

Recently, Volodymyr Zelensky reported that during a meeting on September 26, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, informed about new incidents involving drones at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.

Ukrainian President’s Statement on Drone Incidents

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian military personnel detected airspace violations by reconnaissance drones. The President suggested that these unmanned aerial vehicles might belong to Hungary.

He noted that these drones could have been conducting reconnaissance of the industrial potential in the border regions of Ukraine. Zelensky instructed a thorough investigation of all available facts and to report promptly on each recorded incident.

In response to the situation, Hungary joined the discussion of the “drone wall” project along with representatives from other European Union countries, which took place on September 26.
