The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) reported on May 26 the discovery of equipment for covert audio and video surveillance found in the residences of its staff members. According to court representatives, these facts are regarded as attempts to influence the objective consideration of cases that are under their jurisdiction.

Reports of interference in the administration of justice have been submitted to the High Council of Justice and the Office of the Prosecutor General, leading to the initiation of criminal proceedings.

The High Anti-Corruption Court reminded that according to Article 6 of the law “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges,” interference in the administration of justice, any influence on judges, or the collection, storage, and dissemination of information with the aim of discrediting the court is prohibited. Such actions result in liability under the Criminal Code, and their commission is punishable by law.
